BARC uses a small stretch of river, so care must be taken to avoid collisions and boat damage.  Members and visitors should be aware of the turning procedures outlined in the documents below:

River Level

The Environment Agency provides river heights on their website showing you whether the river is rising or falling at Cottingley Bridge.

REMEMBER – This is not a definitive indicator on the safety of the river, and the usual risk assessment would still need to be carried out.  If the level is on or around O.86 metres the level at the Clubhouse will be around the high level mark.
